With the 2020 NFL draft over, it’s time to move on and focus on the 2021 draft. Here is my way too early 2021 NFL mock draft.
1.) Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence, Quarterback, Clemson
Height: 6’6” Weight: 220 lbs
After it’s all said and done, Lawrence might go down as the best quarterback prospect of all time. Even with a solid starter in Gardner Minshew, the Jags can’t pass up on a potential Hall of Famer.
2.) Cincinnati Bengals
Penei Sewell, Tackle, Oregon
Height: 6’6” Weight: 330 lbs
The Bengals have to protect the face of their franchise, Joe Burrow. Sewell is one of the best tackle prospects in recent years and will be a plug and play guy at left or right tackle.
3.) Washington Redskins
Ja’Marr Chase, Wide Receiver, LSU
Height: 6’1” Weight: 200 lbs
Chase probably would’ve been the best receiver in the 2020 class, so he’s easily the best receiver in this class. Washington needs a true WR1 other than Terry McLaurin, so they grab the 2019 Biletnikoff award winner.
4.) Carolina Panthers
Alex Leatherwood, Tackle, Alabama
Height: 6’6” Weight: 310 lbs
Leatherwood surprised a lot of people when he decided to return to Alabama for his senior season. He was projected as a top five tackle in the 2020 class and will only get better in another season with the Crimson Tide. Leatherwood has shown versatility through his college career, starting at both right guard and left tackle.
5.) Miami Dolphins
Gregory Rousseau, Edge Rusher, Miami
Height: 6’7” Weight: 253 lbs
Last year, in his first season as a starter, Rousseau posted 15.5 sacks for the Hurricanes. He projects as an edge rusher in the NFL, but has shown versatility at Miami, taking snaps at defensive tackle, defensive end, and outside linebacker.
6.) New York Jets
Justyn Ross, Wide Receiver, Clemson
Height: 6’4” Weight: 204 lbs
The Jets addressed keeping Sam Darnold off of his back in the 2020 NFL Draft, now they need to give him someone to throw to. Ross is a big receiver with a ridiculous catch radius who also has the speed to get yards after the catch. Sam Darnold will love him.
7.) New York Giants
Micah Parsons, Linebacker, Penn State
Height: 6’3” Weight: 244 lbs
Parsons is an electric linebacker who is great at stopping the run. He can drop into coverage and rush the passer. He projects as a 4-3 outside linebacker and can bolster a lack-luster Giants defense.
8.) Detroit Lions
Justin Fields, Quarterback, Ohio State
Height: 6’3” Weight: 228 lbs
Matthew Stafford is 32 and is rapidly declining in health. Fields is a phenomenal dual-threat quarterback who can beat you in the pocket and with his legs. He will become the new face of Detroit.
9.) Arizona Cardinals
Patrick Surtain II, Cornerback, Alabama
Height: 6’2” Weight: 203 lbs
The Cardinals are solid on offense and now need to add some talented defensive players to push them over the edge. Surtain II, the son of former Pro Bowl corner Patrick Surtain, is a fantastic cornerback and will pair nicely opposite of Patrick Peterson.
10.) Los Angeles Chargers
Walker Little, Tackle, Stanford
Height: 6’7” Weight: 320 lbs
Little was considered to be one of the top tackles in college football prior to the start of the 2019 season. Unfortunately, a season-ending knee injury kept him sidelined for almost the entirety of the 2019 season. Walker should bounce back with a strong season and will help a Chargers O-line that recently traded away Russell Okung.
11.) Las Vegas Raiders
Brock Purdy, Quarterback, Iowa State
Height: 6’1” Weight: 210 lbs
12.) Denver Broncos
Shaun Wade, Cornerback, Ohio State
Height: 6’1” Weight: 195
13.) Atlanta Falcons
JaCoby Stevens, Safety, LSU
Height: 6’1” Weight: 221 lbs
14.) Miami Dolphins (from Texans)
Jaylen Waddle, Wide Receiver, Alabama
Height: 5’10” Weight: 182 lbs
15.) Tennessee Titans
Devonta Smith, Wide Receiver, Alabama
Height: 6’1” Weight: 175 lbs
16.) Indianapolis Colts
Chris Olave, Wide Receiver, Ohio State
Height: 6’1” Weight: 188 lbs
17.) Cleveland Browns
Trey Smith, Guard, Tennessee
Height: 6’6” Weight: 335 lbs
18.) Chicago Bears
Trey Lance, Quarterback, North Dakota State
Height: 6’3” Weight: 224 lbs
19.) Pittsburgh Steelers
Marvin Wilson, Defensive Tackle, Florida State
Height: 6’5” Weight: 310 lbs
20.) New England Patriots
Dylan Moses, Linebacker, Alabama
Height: 6’3” Weight: 235 lbs
21.) Buffalo Bills
Rashod Bateman, Wide Receiver, Minnesota
Height: 6’2” Weight: 210 lbs
22.) Minnesota Vikings
Creed Humphrey, Center, Oklahoma
Height: 6’5” Weight: 307 lbs
23.) Jacksonville Jaguars (from Rams)
Samuel Cosmi, Tackle, Texas
Height: 6’7” Weight: 310 lbs
24.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chuba Hubbard, Running Back, Oklahoma State
Height: 6’0” Weight: 201 lbs
25.) Seattle Seahawks
Xavier Thomas, Edge Rusher, Clemson
Height: 6’2” Weight: 265 lbs
26.) Philadelphia Eagles
Paulson Adebo, Cornerback, Stanford
Height: 6’1” Weight: 192 lbs
27.) Dallas Cowboys
Pat Freiermuth, Tight End, Penn State
Height: 6’5” Weight: 259 lbs
28.) Green Bay Packers
Quay Walker, Linebacker, Georgia
Height: 6’4” Weight: 240 lbs
29.) San Francisco 49ers
Wyatt Davis, Guard, Ohio State
Height: 6’4” Weight: 315 lbs
30.) New Orleans Saints
Rondale Moore, Wide Receiver, Purdue
Height: 5’9” Weight: 180 lbs
31.) Kansas City Chiefs
Liam Eichenberg, Tackle, Notre Dame
Height: 6’6” Weight: 305 lbs
32.) Baltimore Ravens
Seth Williams, Wide Receiver, Auburn
Height: 6’3” Weight: 224 lbs
