Did you lose to the guy who has no clue what he’s doing and has never played fantasy football before? Did you win last week and want to stay undefeated all season? If you answered yes to either question then you are in the right place. Here is a guide to help all of you fantasy football junkies make sure you come out of week two victorious.
Who to Claim Off Waivers/Start
Marquise Brown
4 receptions 147 yards 2 touchdowns
30.7 points week one.
7.9 week two projected points
Hollywood Brown went off in his NFL debut as he torched the Dolphins for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 4 catches. The Ravens play the Cardinals, who have a depleted secondary this week, so make sure you pick up Brown. I believe that Brown can have a very productive fantasy season if Lamar Jackson can consistently be an above average passer.
Darren Waller
7 receptions 70 yards
14 points week one
10.8 week two projected points
Waller is my top pick for tight ends on waivers this week. The Raiders are playing the Chiefs this week, so this is the time to roll the dice on Waller. Last week Waller was very productive with 10 yards per reception, but I think he could have even more success against a team like the Chiefs who have a below average defense. If he scores a touchdown then things could get pretty scary for your opponent.
Devin Singletary
4 carries 70 yards, 5 receptions 28 yards
14.8 points week one
10.9 week two projected points
Devin Singletary provides value as both a rusher and a pass catcher, which means you should keep your eye on him if you are in a PPR league. This week Singletary goes up against the Giants, so the potential is there for the rookie to shine against their weak defense. If you are in a tight spot and really need a running back in a PPR league, I recommend picking up Devin Singletary.
Who to Drop/Bench
Vance McDonald
2 receptions 40 yards
6 points week one
9 week two projected points
Vance McDonald really struggled last week against the Patriots, only catching 2 of his 4 targets. If you started him last week, all I’ve got to say is GG. McDonald and the Steelers play the Seahawks, so I don’t know how much production we can expect from him this week. There are a few options at tight end on waivers if you’re really desperate. Please just don’t play this dude this week.
Kenyan Drake
4 carries 12 yards, 2 receptions 15 yards
4.7 points week one
12.9 week two projected points
Kenyan Drake was really bad against the Ravens week, struggling in both the run and pass game. This week the Dolphins face the Patriots, so things will not get any easier for the young running back. Drake must have a bigger impact as a pass catcher this week to be worth starting in your fantasy lineup. I really like Kenyan Drake as a running back, but the Dolphins are just too trash this year for him to have much success.
